About the Region

Located in Valle de Grama – home to some of Brazil’s most elite coffee farms, Fazenda Cachoeira da Grama spans over four hundred-hectare plot (with a hundred hectares of coffee trees) of which some Yellow Bourbon trees dates back to 1956. Situated three miles from Minas Gerais state line and has characteristics from the mountainous areas of Mogiana and from Sul de Minas, the coffee plantation receives precipitation of between 1800mm and 2000mm per year with an average temperature of 19ºC which are ideal conditions for coffee growth.

This farm is owned by the Carvalho family and managed by their export partner Bourbon Specialty. Everything from coffee plantation handling to harvesting is done manually since its topography does not allow any kind of mechanization. It is no wonder that Fazenda Cachoeira da Grama is famous for their exceptional quality.

Taste Profile

This rare yellow bourbon bean with hints of nuts, has a subtle sweet taste. The mild-bodied and smooth mouthfeel with slight acidity leaves a long lingering aftertaste.
